Ein paar Worte in eigener Sache:
Weil ich immer mal wieder nach Rabatten gefragt werde- die Preiskalkulation für ein Buch ist eine feste Größe. Einnahmen und Ausgaben sind dabei nicht variabel logischerweise.
Die Auflagen sind so klein, dass es keine Möglichkeiten für Verhandlungen mit der Druckerei gibt (was meines Erachtens die einzige Möglichkeit wäre, die Ausgaben etwas zu reduzieren).

Ich überlege immer mal wieder eine ISBN Nummer zu beantragen, damit die Bücher besser gefunden werden können, aber bei den Umsätzen die wir jährlich haben, ist selbst das zu teuer!

Unsere Bücher sind für eine wirklich kleine Zielgruppe gedacht und ich möchte sie auch in Zukunft weiter anbieten können, was nicht geht, wenn immer wieder Menschen meinen, die Bücher fotokopieren zu können, oder auch handschriftlich Rhythmen daraus zu nehmen und z.B. an Schüler weiterzugeben...

Daher Danke ich all jenen, die ihren Respekt und ihre Wertschätzung den Malinké und ihrer Kultur, sowie auch Billy und mir gegenüber darin ausdrücken, dass sie unsere Bücher kaufen und auch ihren Freunden, Kollegen, Lehrern und Schülern etc weiter empfehlen! Danke!

A few words on my own behalf:
Because I get asked about discounts from time to time - the price calculation for a book is a fixed figure. Income and expenditure are not variable, logically.
The print runs are so small that there are no opportunities to negotiate with the printer (which in my opinion would be the only way to reduce expenses somewhat).
I keep thinking about applying for an ISBN number so that the books can be found more easily, but with the sales we have every year, even that is too expensive!

Our books are intended for a really small target group and I would like to be able to continue to offer them in the future, which is not possible if people keep thinking they can photocopy the books or take handwritten rhythms from them and pass them on to pupils, for example...

I would therefore like to thank all those who express their respect and appreciation for the Malinké and their culture, as well as for Billy and myself, by buying our books and recommending them to their friends, colleagues, teachers and pupils etc.! Thank you!
